the reveal

Today is the reveal date for Lorelei's  current Michael's Reader Challenge!  The challenge was to  buy the beads pictured in her post at Michaels and create a necklace, using your own stash to supplement two  extra types of beads, a clasp and a focal.
I wasn't able to find the mother of pearl faceted beads and substituted a white nebula.  The focal is a skeleton key I found packaged as "Santa's Key" at a craft show. The clasp is a toggle with a dangling sparkly heart.

  4. Love that key and it gave me idea for a huge stack of keys I have lying around from a craft store. I love the clasp and have used that one myself a few times.
    Great job of improvising!

  8. Oh! That key works so perfectly in with the beads. I just acquired myself a stash of keys and didn't even think to use them in the design for this challenge (partly because I was DONE with the necklace for this challenge.)
You've made a beautiful piece that I know I would readily wear!! Just beautiful!
