  2. Quilt as you go -- I heard about it -- or is it a legend about pioneer trails to the west with the women quilting on their laps? This is so sweet, a tiny nine-patch.

  3. good question about pioneer women quilting on their laps as they traveled to the west. it's something i've heard but i don't know if it's true or not. i think i'll look into it and see what i can find out

  5. I am somewhat relived that they did not quilt in the wagons on their (probably) bumpy road to the west; I can't even sew a sticth in the car on the highway, and was feeling a little inferior:-)
