perspectives

For many of my neighbors summer officially commences this week with the conclusion of the school year.

This seemed like a "summery" little wip to complete. Most of the quilting was already done and all I added were the beads, the binding, and some additional quilting.
Despite a ferocious thunderstorm and rain during the night, it's nice to still find these in the yard.

"The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be only the beginning."  ~Ivy Baker Priest
"If you do not raise your eyes you will think that you are the highest point."  ~Antonio Porchia, Voces, 1943, translated from Spanish by W.S. Merwin
If you look closely, you can still see the raindrops.

I enjoyed seeing your summer wip up! Also, reading the quotes! Thank you for these thoughts! The hydrangeas are beautiful! Yes, I see the raindrop! I love the garden after a rain.
