I absolutely loved this post! This summer I went to the beach in St. Augustine with my daughter, visiting from Sweden, and several cherished neighbors. It was such a lovely, peaceful time toward twilight, and the moments are tucked away to be pulled out again and again...thank you for the reminder!

The beach is one of my favourite place sto be. It is like nothing can weigh me down when the air is fresh and the wind blows away all the cobwebs on my mind. Glad you had a positive experience!

I love this post. I live on the coast, and a 5 minute walk from the atlantic. It's home, and it has been for generations of my mother's family. It gives, and it takes away. It is a full, candid representation of life. But it has a history to it, billions of years, it's a matriarch and a patriarch rolled into one elder...
And salt water really does heal wounds. My mother has always taken her boo boo's to the ocean to heal them.

Lovely thoughts. I feel the same way when I am in the desert. I think its because it makes me feel as if I am a part (albeit very small) of this majestic natural world. The ocean always brings thoughts of continuity one wave coming in at a time, over and over again, from a huge expanse of sea. Bless you!

I hope whatever wounding you left there will be cleansed. The sea always brings renewal for me. Hugs. xox Corrine

I feel the same way about the sea. It just goes on and on no matter what happens in our world. So glad you got there! Where are these photos from?

We're headed to the ocean next month; it's hard to wait that long.
