leaves and marigolds

It is a lovely fall day, with an occasional red-turning leaf and a continued abundance of marigolds.

Lovely marigolds, both kinds of them.
The leaves have not started changing here yet, it has been a unusual warm September. Fall is a lovely season, but usually brings lots of rain and wind. It's perfect weather to stay inside and sew though!

This September has been much nicer so far than the summer. We had a particularly wet summer which I have heard means that we should have a particularly colorful fall. More inspiration for brilliant-hued sewing!

Those turning leaves are so beautiful. We don't have very many fall colors here -- mainly brown and yellow.
I remember the vivid colors back in New York state.
