intent

Intent is the word I'm considering for a focus for this year. My intent, not someone else's. And taking the time and making the effort to define what it means for me and the work I'm creating.

I love your use of texture. I just want to reach out and touch it. :)

Yes, as I looked back on 2009 I realized some of my derailment was due to forgetting MY intent and succumbing to someone else's. Ironically, my word of focus for 2010 IS focus. I think I would have gotten more done (or at least what I'd intended to get done) had I been more focused.

Intent is a good thing. I think it designates a beginning...which may or may not come to fruition. Moreover, it seeks to begin to facilitate the journey! Here's wishing us all a (preloaded with intent) creative, curious, and fulfilled journey through 2010!

Great word and thanks for introducing me to having a word for the year. I'm thinking I may do the same but have yet to choose a word.

It's a fine line, isn't it? I have to be careful with the 'yes' word. I always underestimate how much time something I've said yes to takes.. focus is a good word too.. Happy New Year!
