Finally . . .
my piece for Bea's Dog in the Hole full moon art doll challenge. This time I did not make an art doll but instead made a small textile piece.
I love your textile piece. i just bought some embroidery books and have been practicing sheehsa mirrors and other stitches. Thanks for the link to the full moon art doll challenge. I may know some people interested in that.
Oh my, Deborah -- as always, I LOVE the hand-stitched appearance of this piece. The colors are lovely! The yo-yos, beads and lace -- all lend a look that I love -- almost "shabby-chic" (said with admiration!). You didn't say -- how big is this? If you say it's an ATC, I'm in awe! It's so perfect.
I just love this piece Deborah. Love how the beads spiral out from her face. The yo-yo's really add to the piece overall. I love pink now that I'm older, for some reason. When I was younger I was into red more. Who knows.LOL
Dear Deborah...you Pink Full Moon composition is so intriguing...I would love to be able to hold her and examine her closely. The beadwork is prayerful...one bead one stitch at a time slows down our hearts and hands. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
What an inspirational piece! The face and yo-yo's caught my eye first and then I notice all the other lovely embellishments. I love working with yo-yo's and it is so great to see them used in up-to-date projects. My friend is going to show me how to make pieces so maybe one day I will be able to create something as lovely.

Thanks! This piece is not an atc. Originally I had envisioned it to be larger but it is about 6 inches squarish.
I went to Bea's blog and enjoyed her story about the Robin's nest.
like your textile piece- nice connection to dolls
It is oh so very lovely!
This is special. I like everthing about it especialy the fiber around the face. Thanks for the visit. It means a lot.
