textile cuff

 a new project.

Finally there is a break in the weather. A little rain. A drop in temperature.

I can breathe better and have started a small new project.

A few years ago I started making textile cuffs but only made a couple.
This is a new one . . . still in progress . . .
just playing around with some elements and a new (to me) hardware store finding: screw rings.

I am so glad we are having rain too. I needed a rain day.

Raining here in south Jersey too, yay! I always enjoy your posts so much. I marvel at your hand-stitching, and can picture you super relaxed while doing it. It almost feels like you must live in another world. ;) Also enjoy the photos you include, and I'd like to know the secret to such lovely hydrangea flowers. We could take the prize for foliage, but the flowers elude us. This little cuff is adorable, especially whimsical that you have hardware in it! Happy Saturday!

We are a little cooler today so am off to the garden. I hope you will show us the finished cuff. I like what you are doing. Stay cool.

Rain here too from Hurricane Alex and then closly behind was a tropical depression that brought more rain. Enough already! :)
But it has done wonders to make everything green.
Love your cuff in progress. Can't wait to see it finished. I'd like to try that one day.

I think cuffs are so neat. I wish I felt more comfortable wearing one. I tried to get my granddaughter, Hayden interested in making one and wearing it but not yet. Love those flowers you are adding, from the picture of them you could use the photo in a fiber journal too. It's beautiful. :)Bea

we have also finally cooled down today after a week of 90 degrees- I live on a cliff with water down below so it is a little cooler-- but still nice to cool down today-- your cuff is interesting---to be worn like a bracelet or sewn on a sleeve?

Must have been a rain day, we had it too!

I love your eye for detail. The iron fence swept me back decades to my Grandfather's house in Malibu. Thank you for resurrecting that memory!

A little rain is good and the cuffs are a nice small way to hand sew, I enjoy them too! It's fun to see the fixings and findings. enjoy.

Rain here in North Carolina also. What a blessing it is to hear those drops on the roof. I love this cuff -- and love the use of 'hardware' items.

Our rain started last night and continued today; Thank God, we've needed this and a whole lot more.
Love the cuffs, think I'll make a few as you've inspired me.

The great thing about cuffs is you can have so many wonderful designs and materials. Great stuff!

What a pretty cuff - do you wear them afterwards? I just love that gate photo at the end, it's fabulous.
