easy come, easy go

I'm still enjoying making necklaces. But . . .  as for the "volunteer" pumpkin, when we returned home after being out of town for a couple of days, we found it being devoured by squirrels. There is now a large round hole and the seeds have spilled out into the driveway. Since the squirrels probably carried the seed there in the first place (we didn't plant any pumpkin seeds), I guess the pumpkin belonged to them anyway.

Lovely necklace, squirrels eat anything, but you are probably correct, it was theirs to begin with. Sad
you couldn't see it anyway. xox Corrine

The necklace is lovely and so like an autumn day...the squirrels are such characters...I'm glad they have lots to eat....they have probably been just waiting for it to ripen....thanks for watering it etc....

Hi Deb - just catching up here, now that I'm on school holidays. How are you? It seems moving into mellow autumn has brought out the most mellow and beautiful colours in both your quilting and your necklaces!

Good attitude! Fits with the quote on your blog that sometimes the choice is attitude.

There is something convincing in the ideas about property, seen thru squirrels' eyes.

Those cheeky devils don't let 'manners' get in their way (or much of anything else). Your necklace makes me think of fall -- lovely color combination.

Wonderful fall necklace!

The squirrels are pretty smart. They plant the pumpkin seed and let you tend to it and reap all of the rewards! Wonder where they put next year's seed? Watch for it. lol

That necklace is gorgeous! Well, look at it this way, you gave the squirrels an awesome fall feast :)
I am sure they are grateful....well as
grateful as squirrels can get anyway.

Beautiful, beautiful necklace!
I had no idea squirrels would eat anything that big; I guess your squirrels are different from our little guys who live in the wood.
