mirthful inchie

The word for this week's Every Inchie Monday challenge is mirthful. This fiber inchie is made from mottled yellow cotton fabric, a bit of lace, a rose cut out from another piece of fabric, and an overlay of fine slightly sparkly netting. It's embellished with beads and a bird charm.

"The kiss of sun for pardon. The song of the birds for mirth. One is nearer God's Heart in a garden Than anywhere else on earth." ~ Dorothy Frances Gurney

Very pretty, and a warm sunny reminder on this last day of January that spring is coming.

What a delicate and sweet interpretation of mirthful! And, I love the quilt squares you have; I look forward to seeing them after they're embellished and your final decision on how to arrange them.

Love this. At some point in the 90s I did a cross stitch project with this poem. I loved revisiting it today.

Beautiful! Love the poem, and you put a lot of detail into that little inch.

This is so sweet. I'm having a hard time coming up with things that will execute to an inchie...but I'm trying to hand paint the art on. I guess I need to try something different!
