2011 erosion bundle materials

became a scroll.

All of these papers, fabrics and embellishments came from the bundle set out in the elements earlier this year for the Erosion Bundle Project except for a few torn snippets of coffee-dyed fabric with a Parisian post motif and a couple of sticks found in the woods.

It reminds me of old letters. In England very old letters were found in the cellar (or attic) of some museum. Those were letters sent more than one and a half century ago by Dutch peolpe with Dutch sailing ships.
These ships were captured (official navy policy in that age) and someone stored all the post bags (loot)that were ón these ships. Lately a Dutch team studied and published a lot of these lettres ... that never arrived at their destination .......; August 11, 2011 at 5:22 PM
mermaid gallery said...: I love it!....i think aging is the most interesting thing you can do to anything!...i stapled a signature, mixed media, canvas to my shed and watched it blacken, curl, and crackle in the sun...fabulous!....i remember as a kid making a map of treasure island and burning and staining it...i was so fascinated by the effects...i love alcohol inks...they work much the same....very cool post....; August 11, 2011 at 5:29 PM
