low tide

The stitching is now complete and a few new embellishments have been added. It has probably been about a year, working on this on and off, and I think it is finally finished.

Background fabrics are assorted shades, weights and textures and include blueberry-coffee dyed cheesecloth. Embellishments include:
lace bits and fiber scraps
yarn and yo-yo's
paperbeads under produce netting
buttons and beads
a decoupaged washer
shells from a North Carolina beach

I think this is very pretty! I can see the sunlight on the water as it is pulled back out to sea.

Hi Deborah,
I love this piece. I also am enchanted by the piece in your header. Did you do a post on that one? I'd love to read it.

Thanks!
Stacy

What a perfect title... low tide.. because it looks like what is left after the tide goes out.. all the little gems and bits and pieces that nature has created and left behind...
wonderful piece.

This is a lovely work-intensive piece. I'm not surprised it took as long as it did. Isn't it great when we finally somehow know that a project is done!
