as a respite from my own one of the things I've done has been to peek into India's whirled and so as a result took a look outside
a few leaves from the ground and around
added the leaves . . . maple, Japanese maple, oak, serviceberry, for example, and some avocado peelings . . . to pots with bits of cotton, silk, doilies, some bundled, some not
and so have some slightly altered fiber pieces in a natural dye sort of way but nothing spectacular and no prints. nevertheless a good diversion

Very soothing, be well.
Interesting ! Happy to read about something you are doing!
Nice diversion. It's so beautiful right now. It's good to be outside and bring some of it in.
Oh fun stuff. Be well. xox Corrine
Oh so good to see you 'playing with leaves'. May each bit of creating symbolize healing.
i too, have been influenced by india flint and her whirled.....it is such fun to play with the natural objects in our surroundings....i love bundling!
You have a delicious soup of dyes...lovely softness captured to be stitched this winter's cold evenings. Blessings to you friend, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
The warm colors in this post are reaching through the computer, so wonderful. You've been in my thoughts and I really hope you're as happy as can be. : )
I like the subtlety of the fabric. Still sending positive thoughts, prayers and gentle hugs.
I think it is great that you were willing to experiment and try new things.. it will all only get better and better.. nothing lost nothing gained.. live the moments.
Sounds interesting and a fun thing to do.
Oh this autumn colors are so wonderful, interesting to see what comes out of your experiment.

lovely photos; one foot in front of the other and you can walk a mile. or a few steps; it's all the same, more or less, isn't it?
you're in my prayers.
Great stuff and some wonderful images x
Just checking in on you...Hope that you had a nice Thanksgiving.
Hope all is well with you and your family. xoxo
Your dye experiment was an awesome attempt. Just gathering all of the leaves would be fun--all those beautiful colors and shapes. I've had to do the pieces I've tried to dye more than once to get anything remotely interesting.
Have been missing you and your work, hope things are going well. Stay strong and well!
Yes, but it is good to experiment and try and see what would happen.. and have fun.. and try again.
Wanted to send along some wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
