This project (like so much else) is just not working out. I'm going to leave it on the design board for now and have started in another direction with the strips already cut out.
I took a close up view and i really like this piece...it is very 50's...almost looks like it might be barkcloth. I love the colors together and the designs work together well too. Don't give up on this one!!!!!!
Thank you for the visit and I am not quite packed up yet. I need to make baby quilt for the new nephew so I understand your dilemma. I know I have to just throw some blues up in the air and play...Benjamin is a big boy! Thank you reminding me that I need to get back into the swing of things! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
One of my favorite, and most useful, expressions seems to be "sleep on it". Comes to mind with this one. I don't feel as much negativity from it as you, but you are the one who needs to feel good about it.

Sometimes its best to let something 'season' -- and time often provides the inspiration that we all need.

Sometimes, when I let something sit long enough, it tells me what to do with it.
