Dyeing with red onion skins yielded a golden color, not red.

Carol Rigby said...: What a coincidence. I have some fabric soaking right now in red onion water. I too thought the result would be red. But after boiling the onion skins I could see it was more of a yellowy brown.I did not use any sort of fixative so I don't know how they will turn out.
