overnight guests are scheduled to arrive next week to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday. it's time to clean my studio and transform it into a guest room for my brother.
I wish I had the extra pressure to clean up my sewing room; it's so cramped that I mostly work on our dining room table.
I had to study the picture in your heading wondering how on earth you could piece such a small quilt. I was relieced to see that the small squares were appliqued:-)
It takes me so much longer to clean up my work area than it does to mess it up. You're right - the small squares in the quilt in the heading are appliqued. But they are actually a good bit larger than the one featured in an earlier post about being tiny. That one is a handpieced 9 patch with each 9 piece unit about 1 and 1/2 inches (I'm not sure, I don't have it in front of me.) Each square was about 1/2 inch, I think. I started working with really tiny pieces during the years I spent waiting in doctors' offices and hospitals with my daughter.
