nine circles

A closer look at a series of circles started earlier. (They're still on the design wall.) I've done some "reckless embellishing," including adding a double yo-yo using a recycled produce mesh bag.

Mollie helped shovel the sidewalk.

Also, a  closer look at my Erosion Bundle.

Wonderful colors and whimsical embellishment. Most quilters would probably do this when the quilt is almost finished -- I guess I couldn't resist either to do it "now".

What a cool idea, using a mesh produce bag! I thought the pieces were bigger, then I noticed the safety pin. Amazing.

My goodness, there must be a foot of snow on your erosion bundle! It should be good and eroded by the time you take it down. It will be interesting to see what the contents look like then.

I enlarged the picture to see the mess bag...way cool, and it's blue! [last one i had was red, i admit i tossed it]

Clever snow plow, reusable too.

I thought the same thing as Darlene until I noticed the safety pin. Great idea to use things up! It looks neat.
I have to come back when I have more time and look up past posts on your Erosion Bundle. It has me stumped -- what it is, why, and where it hangs must mean somthing. Also, the name has a mysterious ring to it -- hmmmm....so, so interesting! I shall return!

It's always fun to try new things. I, too, thought the pieces were bigger until I saw the safety pin.

I had to forego the erosion project. Too much going on, too sick to get things done.

Great to see the process, the blocks look great on your wall with the embellishments. Very cool way to recycle!
You have even more snow than we do. While your is white, our is grey due to all the salt they use on the roads.

I love circles - it's my favorite shape. When I doodle it's always a bunch of circles. Your blocks are looking great.

Thanks for your comment. Your erosion bundle is certainly having a hard time!

Beautiful colours! And I see you use safety pins. In a book I read about that you could use these pins for quilting, but they didn't explain when you should use them, can you tell me when you use them? And can you use ordinary safety pins or are these special safety pins for quilting?
I love your snow dog.
