shards and squares

This is the project I worked on last week while riding in the car to and from Massachusetts again. Since most of this trip was at night, I didn't accomplish as much as I had hoped. For some reason I've ended up with 10 small blocks, some of them with squares and some with strips that I'm thinking of as shards.

Asian inspired comes to mind when I look at these blocks...Yoko Saito, Daiwabo, sashiko and the like. Subtle, soft, vintage-y. ; )
