When I was little, and lived with my grandmother when my dad was in Korea, I used to ride my bike in the lovely cemetery, in Warren PA. I loved to look at the markers and wonder about those lives.. I enjoyed your blog entry! The angel does look like it has a tear..Blessings to you and your family!

It does look tearful. Simple designs often have the biggest impact. I have not seen a church yard angel quite like that one before.

Lovely simple faces. I think the tear may be the result of weathering, but oh so perfectly placed. In that sense, it means even more.

How lovely these would look quilted on hand-dyed cotton...
I'm back looking again -- just had the thought that rubbings of these faces would be very special.
