wavy spirals

I've always liked spirals. When I was in junior high I used to doodle them in my school notebooks. Now I use them in quilts. And yes, this is an irregularly shaped small quilt, not square but wavy.

Lovely appliqué! Have been looking closely to see how this is done... wow, I'll have to learn needle turning, it looks so fine.

What a fun design! I also would love to learn needle turing at some point, but I'm afraid I won't have the patience. It looks so difficult. I do a little hand applique, but all edges get folded and pressed before I start.

practice, patience, and imperfection. It seems to be mostly a matter of practice, patience, and the right frame of mind, which for me is to try to do my best but be willing to accept imperfection.
