linen and silk

A stack of linen and silk (and some batik) purchased last week at a local thrift store's quarter bins. (Technically they are now 50 cent bins, but for so many years the items were a quarter so I still tend to think of them that way.) I'm looking forward to using these. At the moment I'm thinking of using the linen as a base and some of the silk as an applique. Maybe. Still having fun thinking about how to use them.

Great finds!
I too look forward to see how you'll use them; I have a box of silk shirts and ties from a thrift shop collected over the years.

You know, I've been meaning to do that - check out a thrift store or consignment shop for wool, silk, etc. I just may head out this week after seeing your wonderful finds.

Oh Dear.

I am suffering from some Serious ENVY right now!

I don't miss much from living in an urban area but I do miss great restaurants and markets and those fabulous thrift stores.

drool.

Lovely pinks! Silks are so pleasant to handquilt, aren't they?
