quilt for my brother

Not a good image because this is a photo of a photo, but this is a full-size quilt I made for my brother. Not an original pattern or even original choice of colors because I used a pattern and general color selections shown in a magazine. I am pleased with the way it turned out, however. It is entirely made by hand, including the quilting.

Beautiful quilt! I love the colors, and am so impressed you did all the work by hand. I am currently doing my first hand-pieced quilt and I'm enjoying it quite a bit (but it's still early on and it's a small quilt). Such a pretty quilt!

Thanks for stopping in at my blog!
I'm using a lot of the Kaffe Fassett fabrics in my stash. I'm trying to think about his colors. I think that's what I find most attractive. I have a collection of biggish prints and I'm trying to Make it Work! I am very attracted to his mantra, "when in doubt, add another color."

I see that you work with traditional patterns, too! I love piecing as therapy but I start questioning how much time and energy it takes. I hate that lurking question: what is it for? This quilt for your brother is so dynamic!
