fifth generation

My great-grandmother was a quilter. So was my grandmother and her sisters.

Her son, my father, was not a quilter but he was artistic. My mother started piecing a quilt, her mother worked on it, and someday I hope to complete it.

A generational quilt is an amazing heirloom...maybe you and your daughter could work on finishing grandma's quilt together...what a journey for the quilt......

The imperfections wherever they might be since I can not see any, make it so real. xox Corrine

It feels like the tradition is continuing in your family. That's lovely!

that will be a great heirloom. My sister has one that my great grandmother made (I would like to steal it ;O) ).

How wonderful to have a generational quilt. Aunt Esther and Aunt Bonnie both gave me quilts and I'm working on finishing them. I love thinking about the hands that have loved these quilts, the times gone before and think they will, probably, be hung on the hall wall when completed.
