B Dazle

Last Thanksgiving when I was in Roanoke I stopped by one of my favorite places, the city market. I can remember my grandparents traveling from Pulaski, in the days before I 81, to buy petunias there.  I love it and never have enough time to spend there. By the time I noticed this car, it was time to leave and I only had a moment to take a quick photo.

This is a fascinating car and I only recently discovered it belongs to artist/writer/woman of many talents Cheryl Dolby whose blog is Healing Woman.

I used to have a Honda Accord which I decided to keep for as long as I could ... my goal was ten years. Well, I kept it for 14 years before I finally gave up, and sold it to the next person. The point is, as time went on and it lost the "bloom of youth" I kept wanting to have fun with it's looks. I really wanted to paint it with polka dots of varying sizes and colors, but I didn't quite have the nerve. This car picture from Roanoke brought back the memory. I'll definitely go look at her wonderfully named blog. Thank you!
